I promised another ornament DIY and here it is. This one’s a little out there but perfect for a buddy who’s cool enough to handle it.
Now I must run over to my friends place and hang it on her tree. No holiday home is complete without your face dangling from a branch. I’ll be watching you from the Christmas tree so everyone be a good kid.
This is for all those who welcomed the holidays like a wrecking ball 😉 #shamelessMileyreference
Happy holidays everyone! ❤
We’re in the month of December and we all know what that means…my birthday! Oh yes, and the holidays if you couldn’t tell from all the lights going up around the city making everything look magical. I wanted to share a little project I worked on last year with Ferrero Rocher who sent me 100 golden balls of chocolatey love. Can you guess what my holiday display was?
What big eyes you have!
What yummy looking bod you possess!
Ok, enough with the corny jokes, meet SnowGal.
Yup, she’s decked out in a scallop scarf, hot item leather hat and don’t forget the lash extensions. Eat your heart out Frosty! You can find the entire DIY here if you want to see a step by step.
I falalalalove decorating for the holidays,
Thank you Urbanebloc for giving me the opportunity to build a snowman. Frozen reference, did ya catch it? 😉
PS – sorrynotsorry for the obscene amount of lame jokes in this post.
Tools: plastic craft ornament balls, orange pom poms. black felt, string, red ribbon.
I have a few more quick ornament tutorials up my sleeve that I’ll be sharing over the new few days! They make perfect personalized gifts when you don’t want to wrap a typical mug or soap set. It’s also a great reminder of what a great friend you are every time they catch a glimpse of it on their Christmas trees. *Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.*
Will you try it out? Show me with #pieceofcyn 🙂
I’m super duper excited to be back in the DIY game. It’s been a while since my last one (all of which you can find here) – so I hope my skills haven’t rusted over. Ha, not possible 😉 Nonetheless, I hope you like this one as much as I enjoyed making it.

I started writing when I was in my last year of university. It was my cry for something other than squinting at a microscope, counting bacterial cultures and laborious protein identification (though Sonic Hedgehog was super interesting at first). Over the year and a half of clicking away at my keys, I discovered something I could actually enjoy doing for a long while: sharing stuff I found funny and cool. Simple event coverage turned into attending huge fashion shows and my own DIY projects. I became transfixed with a world completely biology-unrelated. Never even stood a chance. I was toast, never to return to my lab coat ways leaving my mum a little (a lot) peeved.
Now I’ve created my own space to share what’s behind the flashy media events and how baking recipes by bloggers can fail big time (oh boy, that was a fun disaster). I’m paying homage to my collection of favourite posts and journey to where I am now. Click on anything that grabs your fancy!
